Abstract: Drought is the most significant constraint for crop production in the world. Therefore, employing high-yielding cultivars tolerant to drought is an effective approach to reduce its detrimental effects. Six barley cultivars were evaluated to screening drought tolerant cultivars in two different conditions of irrigation. The experiments were arranged based on randomized complete block design with three replications at the research station of College of Agriculture, Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran. The cultivars in the first experiment meet normal irrigation condition (100% field capacity; FC) while these cultivars in the second experiment were exposed to water-stressed condition (no irrigation after anthesis). Grain yield, its components and drought tolerance indices based on grain yield of the genotypes such as Tolerance (TOL), Mean Productivity (MP), Susceptibility Index (SI), Stress Susceptibility Index (SSI), Geometric Mean Productivity (GMP) and Stress Tolerance Index (STI) were calculated. Analysis of variance showed highly significant differences among the barley cultivars for yield and its components in normal and stress conditions. Yield in non-stress (Yp) and stress (Ys) conditions showed positive and significant correlations with STI, MP and GMP. PCA analysis also indicated that STI, MP and GMP were more reliable indices to screen drought tolerant barley cultivars. The results revealed that Lokht-Himalia and Dorla were sensitive and semi-sensitive, respectively. Other evaluated barley cultivars were tolerant to drought. Therefore, they may be recommended for cultivate in drought prone regions. Also these cultivars can be used in barley breeding programs aimed at improving drought tolerance.

Abstract: Salinity problem with its vast spread on the earth is one of the main factors which limits crop production. One of the methods to overcome this problem is taking advantage of the resistant genotypes. Investigation of changes resulting from the stress in an electrophoretic profile of proteins and understanding its relation with the tolerance and susceptibility of cultivars is an important criterion for identifying such cultivars. In this study, 4 wheat cultivars with different degrees of tolerance were grown in hydroponic culture under salinity treatment (0, 70, 140 and 210 mM NaCl). Leaf sampling was done on 5 leaf stage. Studying the electrophoretic pattern of the leaf soluble proteins in salinity and control treatments showed fundamental similarities among the cultivars. No polypeptide bands belonging to the specific cultivars or to one of the salinity treatments were observed. The study of protein changes by electrophoretic analysis under salinity treatment may be useful for understanding the salinity tolerance of genotypes.

Abstract: This study intended to establish the relationship between e-sourcing and e-maintenance aspects of e-procurement and procurement performance of county governments in Kenya. Kericho County was used as case. The study looked at all the public procurement processes and practices conducted and related them with procurement performance. The target respondents were employees in Kericho County while employees in procurement, finance and accounts and IT departments were purposively selected to form the sample frame from which the respondents were derived. To achieve the aim of the study, two hypotheses were tested; Ho1: E-Maintenance, Repair and Operations do not significantly affect Procurement Performance of county governments in Kenya and Ho2: E- Sourcing does not significantly affect Procurement Performance of county governments in Kenya. Hypotheses testing were conducted through one tailed t-test at 0.05significance level. The findings of the study revealed positive relationship between E-sourcing and procurement performance and E-maintenance and procurement performance respectively. It was therefore recommended that E-sourcing needed to be done at every procurement cycle and databases be created on online suppliers in order to make them more traceable and that the public organizations should recruit its own e-maintenance personnel in order to ensure that organizational system is fully functional and serviceable as required at all times. Research gaps were identified that could not be filled by this study and the study suggest that studies should be conducted to highlight change processes in the procurement systems, the key drivers of change in institutions and the role staff in implementation of new systems.

Abstract: Under the background of a pharmaceutical company, this paper describes the problems in ex-warehousing, warehousing, inventory management process, which including low level of information, excessive label work and manual production operations, complex work processes, high working strength in employees and so on. In order to solve these problems, this paper makes a description of these issues and proposes the application of RFID technology in pharmaceutical warehouse management system, which based on the characteristics of RFID technology for material storage and automatic bulk information collection. RFID technology is widely used in logistics management and process optimization as a new type of Internet technology. Warehouse management system based on RFID technology can combine the GMP certification requirements and standards, automatically complete the input and output of information. So that it can effectively assign storage location automatically, avoid the medicine pollution problem caused by improper manual operation, improve operation efficiency, reduce error rates. The application of RFID technology in medicine warehouse management system is an exploration in domestic pharmaceutical enterprise. It is of great importance to optimize the enterprise storage management.

Abstract: Because of the rapid development of the Internet industry in China, many traditional industries have been overturned. Traditional buyers and sellers can transmit information over the network, eventually complete a transaction through the logistics process. "Fresh" is an important component of thousands of kinds of commodities. Fresh e-commerce is no longer part alien to the society. An e-commerce company in Shanghai, China, committed to the high earners in the city with fresh ingredients since 2005. But the existing modes of production can hardly meet the scale of production and production requirements, we need to explore suitable production process optimization methods to improve the production efficiency so as to meet the requirements of its scale of production. For the existing problems of the fruit and vegetable distribution center, the author of this article will use the methods based on lean management to optimize the production and logistics operations. For the production process mainly uses value stream analysis methods, to eliminate waste in the production process, to speed the flow of products, then to improve work efficiency. Optimize processes based on the analysis eventually.

Abstract: As an emerging field of e-commerce in China, fresh food e-commerce is still in the development period. In order to facilitate an in-depth study, this paper summarizes the operational mechanism and the characteristics of the fresh food e-commerce supply chain, and proposes suggestions about fresh food e-commerce operation and development. One of the challenges in the implementation of “agricultural and supermarket docking” mode is that fresh agricultural products circulation is not fluent. Public information service platform enables the enterprise information resources sharing within the scope of supply chain. It uses information technology tools to integrate the involved enterprise's information resources in supply chain with Internet advantages. In the logistics business, under the premise of sharing of information, retail supermarkets and third party cold chain logistics services company combine business situation and adjust the logistics business process. In the process of circulation of agricultural products, it works together in the process of transportation and distribution of agricultural products based on the public information service platform in both orders and waybill operation independently. Its systematic operation includes cold chain transportation and cold storage resource, reducing their operating cost, improving the benefit of enterprises and improving the service level. Through the application of Internet technology, it can solve the traditional information service platform of the quality of agricultural products and transportation problems.

Abstract: This paper presents numerical simulations of a circular cylinder under the action of current or wave only. The model solves the three-dimensional (3D) Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations using an explicit projection method. The 3D grid system is made of lots of prisms, which are built from a two-dimensional horizontal triangular grid by adding a number of horizontal layers. A non-linear k-ε model, which can take into account the anisotropy of turbulence is incorporated as a turbulence model. Two test cases including the current flows around and regular waves interact with a circular cylinder are used to demonstrate the capability of the model. The model gives reasonable results in comparison with available experimental data.
