Abstract: Proverbs belong to a small folklore (also literary) genre, which use laconic oral expressions. Proverbs describing the reality in a figurative manner reflect the perception of any language and the nation. There are many proverbs in Georgian folklore. They are thematically diverse and are the treasury of pearls of folklore. Originally the figurative expression of thought was immensely powerful as the means of imagery thought. We have unique collection of oral heritage that has survived from Sumerians, Akkadians, Hittites, Semites, Greeks, Romans, Colchians, Iberians, Scandinavians, Slavs and other people, which was enriched by collective knowledge and itself was reflected upon the new forms of arts. Among those, the most famous and widespread is the proverb. In 1993, Galli-Hassan Rokem published a collection of Georgian proverbs in Jerusalem. The first proverb of this collection is “A front man is a bridge to the next one”. According to the researcher, the idea of “man is a bridge to man” is expressed in it, and in his opinion it is a meta-proverb. This proverb is really unique, which reflects and presents the main vectors of human solidarity and mutual understanding habitual to the several thousand-year-old historical reality of the Georgian people. In the consciousness of Georgian people, the concrete reality, in particular, the bridge between the two banks of the river is not only directly perceived, but at the same time this real situation is understood in a figurative sense, which is revealed in the contexts of linguistic, historical and literary parallels. Accordingly, the proverbs-aphorisms of the famous poem “The Knight in the Panter’s Skin” by the well-known poet of the Renaissance period Shota Rustaveli are especially special.

Abstract: Films reflect human social life, meet people's spiritual needs, and are closely related to human social life. The same is true of animated films. Judging from the animated films released in China in recent years, "White Snake 2: the robbery of the green snake" is a fantastic and magnificent new story in the new era, endowing Chinese animation with a new soul and unique artistic charm. This paper takes the heroine Xiao Qing in the Chinese animation White Snake 2: the robbery of the green snake as the research object, and discusses the self-growth of the heroine Xiao Qing in white snake 2 from feminism. Although the film has many deficiencies in script design, script rhythm and characterization. However, the true and sincere independent female characters expressed in the film urge people to think in multiple ways. That is, how women can grow under the influence of feminism. Moreover, not only the self growth path of Xiaoqing discussed in this paper, the help of other female characters to Xiaoqing on the growth path of Xiaoqing, the growth of other characters themselves, and the direct and sincere sisterhood of green snake and white snake will cause extensive discussion and bring moving tears. In short, the changing female roles in animated films reflect women's right to live and strive for social equality and justice, fully reflect the progress of society and the continuous change of people's consciousness, and are conducive to the improvement of social civilization.

No matter what type of animation, Disney animation is famous the all over the world for its imagination, exquisite painting and delicate stories. Disney animated films constantly reflect the changes and development of the times and the development of feminism. This study analyzes the self-growth of female characters in Disney animation from three aspects: patriarchal society, the influence of feminism and modern society, and discusses the changes in the outlook on marriage and life. In a patriarchal society, feminist consciousness was suppressed, and female growth was greatly constrained. After the awakening and development of feminism, women gradually awaken their consciousness, and feminist characters show a new path to growth through their own efforts. In modern society, feminism has further developed, and female characters in Disney animation have lived a more colorful life on the road to self-growth under the influence of feminism. At the same time, this study analyzes the changes for in female characters in Disney animation from the reason of feminism, political economy and consumerism.

Abstract: This article builds on the growing line of inquiry into the relative effectiveness of different tasks for vocabulary learning. Specifically, the study compares the efficacy of several sentence output tasks in EFL vocabulary learning through reading. To this end, evidence was weighed for one hypothesis over the alternative from a Bayesian perspective rather than in light of the commonly used null hypothesis significance testing (NHST), which depends heavily on the p values for statistical conclusions. Ninety-one EFL learners were randomly assigned to one of three word-focused sentence output tasks (i.e., L2-L1 translating, paraphrasing and writing), and were subsequently tested on their initial learning and retention of newly-encountered EFL words. Both Bayes factor analysis and Bayesian parameter estimation were employed to find evidence for task effects. With respect to initial word learning, moderate evidence was in favor of no difference between translating and paraphrasing, whilst weak evidence in favor of no difference between translating and writing as well as between paraphrasing and writing. For pedagogical purposes, no good evidence was for or against task effects. Regarding word retention, moderate evidence supported no task difference, and all the tasks fared equally well pedagogically. The results partially support the involvement load hypothesis and are discussed in terms of task difficulty, context generation and semantic elaboration.

Abstract: The literary representations of the Holocaust are full of critical and creative taboos. While Holocaust survivors such as Primo Levi were producing insightful and touching memoirs of their unfortunate experiences, non-survivors such as Martin Amis were also participating in the imaginative understanding of the nature of Holocaust offense. Academic interests in representations of Holocaust are also thriving. Among them the Perpetrator Studies, a field in response to the WWII and Holocaust, is the most controversial. Focusing on the perpetrators of mass atrocity, this field has developed into an interdisciplinary field. Martin Amis’s Time’s Arrow was a literary reenactment of a Nazi doctor’s experience during the WWII which had caused great controversy in the studies of Holocaust literature. In this article, it is examined how Martin Amis’s Time’s Arrow problematizes those taboos in a very unique way. By adopting techniques of unnatural narratology to narrativize the perspective of a Nazi doctor, Martin Amis creates a postmodern writerly text to allegorize the inexplicable nature of Holocaust. The complex and perplexing reading experience generated by the difficult text not only increase reader’s investment in the novel but also in a subtle way ask them to bear witness to the Holocaust in this immersive act of reading. In this way, Martin Amis activates the performative power of literature and fulfills his duty as a moral witness to the genocide.

Abstract: The second language teaching methods applied with categorization strategies, cognitive styles, and behavioral skills are aimed at providing widespread vistas of the language learning domain. Thereupon the skills have got more scope in acquiring the second language (L2) amongst children with SEN. This proposed research paper sheds light on the relationship between cognitive styles (Field dependence- Field independence and certain language learning). The learning disabilities of learners need to be addressed at the early stage with an intervention plan which in turn promotes cognitive growth, hence the modified instruction materials and the categorization styles should be kept in mind at the time of selecting teaching strategies while developing educational curriculum which would help in setting targets and fixing time frame to achieve them. In addition to this blended teaching which is inclusive of teacher-guided, assignment based, use of behavioral perspectives, can be engaged meaningfully with an intervention of a tool called 'mastery learning' tool which can facilitate assessment driven, evidence based teaching and learning with deeper learning at own pace. The research attempts to define the challenges faced by instructors and suggests ways and means to improve teaching of English. The novel ways focus on students learnability and allow students to explore new vistas of education.

Abstract: Language is dynamical and liable to changes. This paper discusses “the main reasons underlying English and language changes”. It aims to ascertain the major factors which lead to language changes. The paper seeks mainly to focus on the following elements: grammatical, semantic, spelling and phonological changes. The paper also focuses on etymological aspects like, transmission, source identification and personal names, language contact and shift, linguistic accommodation, and new technologies. With regards to the current study, the researchers have adopted the qualitative approach through the interview data collection method, in line with explanatory research design, plus the review of literature review. The study involved language lecturers and university students in the English Course at Universidade Licungo in Quelimane-Zambezia. The study concludes that at any given moment English language, for example, has variations which are known as synchronic variation and the effect of language change over time. The conclusion is evidenced with regards to words or phrases concerned with a particular group of people of the language science, the language of medicine, the language law, and the language of advertisement. Indeed, several factors contribute to language change, invented words, borrowing, new technologies, trades and migration often occurring in response to social, economic and political pressures if enough users alter the way the language should be spoken. The study concludes there are positive effects on language changes, which include the accommodation of new inventions, standardization of the language and the linguistic historic evolution. There are also negative effects based on communication challenges, misunderstanding and linguistic interferences.
