Abstract: The study investigated the performance of Commercial Banks in Nigeria after Banking Sector Reforms. In order to be thorough, the performance of Commercial banks before the Reforms was also investigated. Here we analyze the relationship using Error Correction Mechanism and Chow test over the period 1970-2012. The Variables used were obtained from the banking system. The study found out that the reforms brought about some important changes in Commercial Banks Performance in Nigeria. Specifically, the level of profit (measured by NIM) continues to improve above single digit of 9.17 in 1996 to 16.18 in 2004 and a peak of 20.96 in 2011. This translates into a mean profit of 2.40 recorded in the deregulated period as against 1.54 recorded in the regulated period. Commercial Banks may improve in performance in terms of profitability, but may not really impact on the real economy at least on the short run. The study also shows that much of the benefits to commercial banks in credit creation in the economy will be derived at a price of time. A number of possible policy menu capable of bringing about a sustained Commercial Banks Performance in Nigeria in years following the study have been prescribed in the study.

Method: A survey based study was used to collect data on the relationship between microenterprises and socioeconomic development among youth group in Addis Ababa, Micro and Small Enterprise Program started before 7 years (2004) it has to be changed in to 2003G.C. This program targeted different parties of the society (MSE 2010).The total of 120 micro enterprises which operated by youth groups. The sampling method was involved in ten sub-cities of Addis Ababa. The major micro and small enterprise activity identification was based on the available information from MSE packages and selected randomly. Data analysis was made by using descriptive statistics. Results: The findings of this study have vital implications to poverty reduction, employment creation, women empowerment of microenterprises, and the use of consultancy services by microenterprises targeting youth group for the growth of their enterprises. The major constraints of the sector, specifically, for youth target microenterprises, such as place; credit access; and misunderstanding, disagreement and mistrust among group members has to be addressed. This could be achieved by coordination of the different stakeholders of the sector such as Addis Ababa City Municipality, Addis Ababa MSE Agency, Addis Ababa Youth Association, Microfinance Institutions, and NGOs. Moreover, different supports for youth group microenterprises have to be continuing and it has to be strengthening, furthermore, such supports have to be more of growth oriented. Since, the results of the study shows that majority of youth targeting micro enterprises are not using consultancy services, the stake holders of the sector has to provide favorable conditions. Conclusion: Most of the respondents believed that employment in microenterprises could reduce poverty, and leveled as high in terms of its extent of importance to poverty reduction. From the available psychosocial constraints afraid of failure and criticism, faulty socialization, and low dignity of labor and inadequate motivation are the most serious problems that young entrepreneurs are facing.

Abstract: This article investigates the relationship between export, import and economic growth using annual time series data for the Moroccan economy over the period 1980-2013. The cointegration technique has been employed to see the long run equilibrium relationship among variables. For this end, Granger causality test based on vector error correction model (VECM) has been adopted to see both short and long run causality among the variables. The cointegration results confirm the existence of the long-run relationship among these variables. For the short-run causality, the findings suggest (i) bidirectional causality between economic growth and import, (ii) unidirectional causality that run from export to import, and (iii) no-directional causality between economic growth and export.
