Wastewater management is key to protecting water resources and public health, especially as global urbanization and industrial activities increase. Traditional treatment methods often fall short due to the complexity of modern wastewater, which includes emerging contaminants. As a result, there is a growing focus on more efficient treatment technologies and wastewater reuse, aligned with circular economy principles. The present study addresses water scarcity, reduces waste, and recovers valuable resources. Effective policy frameworks and technological innovations are also critical to overcoming the challenges in wastewater management.
