India's rapid industrialization and population growth have significantly increased energy demand, highlighting the need for sustainable energy solutions. This study examines the current status and future prospects of renewable energy in India, focusing on government initiatives, challenges, and potential solutions. Significant progress has been made in solar and wind energy adoption, driven by policies like the National Solar Mission and Wind Energy Mission. Despite these ad-vancements, challenges like intermittency, grid integration issues, and financial barriers persist. Technological advance-ments, energy storage solutions, and smart grids are expected to enhance renewable energy reliability. The transition to clean energy not only supports India's climate commitments but also fosters economic growth and environmental sus-tainability.
