Abstract: Adinkra symbols are visual symbols among the Akan in Ghana. These symbols represent objects that encapsulate evocative messages conveying traditional wisdom, life and beliefs. The Akan mainly use the symbols for producing funeral cloth or fabric as wrapper for men and women (especially the elderly class). There have not been much creativity and innovation regarding the use of adinkra symbols for female fashionable wears. Black and indigo hues are employed for printing adinkra cloth and these hues are associated with mourning among the Akan. Thus, using adinkra cloth for fashionable wears poses many challenges to fashion designers due to the characteristics of the cloth. This research is anchored on Vygotsky’s creativity theory and Baumgarten aesthetic theory. The study employed qualitative research design and studio based approach. This study seeks to employ selected adinkra symbols for the production of fashionable suits for women. The objectives were to use the Akan adinkra symbols to suit the contemporary demands of the fashion industry, apply screen printing technique to produce adinkra cloths with synthetic pastes, develop innovative fabrics with adinkra symbols that can withstand different tailoring processes and produce fashionable suits from the redeveloped adinkra cloth. The findings revealed that adinkra cloth, if redesigned into innovative fabrics can withstand major tailoring processes such as pressing, fusing and moulding. Looking at the results, it was established that employing screen printing technique for producing adinkra cloth has the tendency to improve the characteristics of the original cloth; thereby making it possible to withstand different tailoring processes. The study recommends effective education on the patronage of locally made clothing with indigenous symbols in order to promote the traditional textile industry.

Abstract: Possessing a potbelly has been identified as a major problem that affects the self-esteem and social appeal of affected men. Efforts to deal with the condition include exercise and diet which present a major challenge to most people on the grounds of health and fitness. The study sought to explore the principle of fashion illusion as an alternative means of dealing with potbelly in affected working-class men. The study aims at integrating fashion illusion in garment design and construction to flatter pot bellies in men as means of enhancing their social appeal and self-esteem. The study employed a qualitative research method using a case study design. Observations and interviews were used as instruments to collect relevant information about the respondents in the Asokwa, Subin and Oforikrom Metropolis all in Kumasi, the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The selected Sub-metros were characterized by significant commercial activities involving the targeted working-class men with pot bellies. The study found that potbelly resulted in negative self-esteem, reduced happiness, and poor appearance among affected men. The respondents embraced fashion illusion as a positive means of enhancing images and making people feel better about themselves. It was recommended that the fashion illusion technique should be popularized to enhance the shape of potbellied working-class men, making them feel self-esteem and productivity.

Abstract: This paper studies how to achieve the expression of poetic language in poster design, so as to solve the problem of ignoring people's inner feelings caused by the highly rational, cold and monotonous design language under the influence of the internationalist style. As early as the Tang and Song Dynasties, China's ancient Spirit Resonance Theory put forward the proposition that "spirit resonance makes poetry and painting valuable" and gives inspiration to poster design, which can be summarized as the wonderful idea of poster, the spirit expressed by graphic language, colors decided by the spirit, the real texture achieved by observation, and the layout penetrating feelings. Only by organically integrating and thoroughly understanding these factors can works with spirit resonance be realized.

Abstract: Typically, a musical score alludes only briefly to the ways in which timbre and tempo vary through the piece, leaving it to the performer to answer the question of how to interpret those elements in detail. If a musical piece is programmed with a computer, timbre and tempo must be specified throughout the piece. This leaves us with the problem of how to program tempo and timbre if we are given a musical score. We describe here some systematic techniques for reading timbre and tempo from a musical score. The basic idea is to associate an algebraic structure to our score, and, by associating certain parameters to that algebraic structure, derive the timbre and tempo of the piece. Our first approach is to associate a consonance structure to the score, and reflect that in the timbre and tempo of the piece. This is what we do in sections 2-5 and section 7. Here, our approach relates to the problem of tuning the notes of our piece in a consistent way. A second approach is to reflect higher dimensional arrows implied by temporal subdivisions of the piece. This is what we do in section 6. In section 8 we mention a third crude approach, where we just count through the notes of a piece successively, so our notes are indexed by elements of an interval in Z, which we reflect in the timbre of our piece using a function.

Abstract: Our research background is based on the visual arts, to explore the intervention and improve the potential of disabled children's rehabilitation experience. Our research is divided into three parts. The first part of the research discusses the characteristics of visual art and its application in the field of health care through the literature; The second part of the study is to review visual arts interventions based on available data, mainly from the following aspects: ADHD in kids, ASD in kids, Special Learning Disorders, family environment, physical and mental health; Finally, we discuss and summarize the impact of visual arts on the rehabilitation experience of kids with disabilities. This paper, using literature study's research methods, analysis of nearly 10 years of related literature and draw the relevant data tables. This study aims to provide a comprehensive systematic literature review and reference for future visual arts intervention research. We hope that the digital visual media design intervention can promote patients recoveries, such as the Augmented Reality technology and Virtual Reality technology, and hopes digital virtual visual art combined with the Metaverse concept, in the future to further curb childhood ADHD in a disease's global incidence, the development of interdisciplinary applications and digital visual art also is of great significance.
