Organic Farming is the practice that relies on using sustainable methods to cultivate crops and it avoids chemical inputs that do not belong to natural eco system, organic agriculture can contribute to meaningful socio-economic and ecologically sustainable development, especially in developing countries. This is due to the application of local resources viz., indig-enous seed, varieties, manure etc, and therefore cost effectiveness. Organic farming is one of the several approaches found to meet the objectives of sustainable agriculture. Ecological friendly organic farming is the solutions to the problems being faced by agriculture more sustainable. This form of agriculture conserve soil and water resources, our climate, improves agro-diversity, ensures biodiversity meets the demand for food and safeguards livelihoods. India is a country that is present with indigenous skills and potentiality for growth in organic agriculture. Although India was far behind in the adoption of organic farming due to many reasons, presently it has achieved rapid growth in organic agriculture and now becomes one of the largest organic producers in the world. Therefore, organic farming has a great impact on the health of a nation like India by ensuring sustainable development.
