A Study on the Relationship Between Motor Fitness and Sports Performance in Elite Female Cricket Players of Bangladesh

Abstract: Motor fitness and athletic performance are important concepts in sports and physical activity. While motor fitness is a general concept that applies to a wide range of physical activities, athletic performance is specific to a particular sport or activity. Athletes require a high level of motor fitness to perform at their best, but motor fitness alone does not guarantee athletic success. The current investigation aimed to examine the relationship between female cricket players' motor fitness and athletic performance. For this study, a total of 30 elite female cricket players who earned spots in the Divisional Cricket Camp were chosen as participants. The motor fitness variables, including agility, abdominal strength endurance, speed, arm strength, and cardiovascular endurance, were assessed using the shuttle run (4X10 Yard), sit-ups, 50-yard dash, medicine ball throw, and 9-minute run/walk tests, respectively. The correlation between motor fitness parameters and sports performance among female cricketers was investigated using Pearson's Product-Movement Correlation Test (PMC) through SPSS software. The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between motor fitness and sports performance in elite female cricket players. The current study's findings showed that abdominal strength, speed, and cardiovascular endurance variables all favorably influence cricket players' ability to perform better in competition. But arm strength and agility had negligible correlation with better athletic performance among elite female cricketers. These findings suggest that improving motor fitness, especially abdominal strength, speed, and cardiovascular endurance, may improve sports performance in elite female cricket players. Therefore, coaches and trainers should consider incorporating motor fitness training programs into their training regimes to enhance the performance of female cricket players.

Abstract: Background: Gymnastics is a world popular oldest game which star in the ancient Olympic Games. Human body is the most research topic nowadays. An Anthropometric profile is a scientific and systematic study of human body size, shape, and propositions. Objective: The Purpose of the study is to help to know about Bangladeshi elite female gymnast anthropometric characteristic and compare with the Olympic level gymnast. The research knowledge also help to develop training methods that enhance their performance. Method: A total of twenty female gymnastic players as the subject for this present study, all gymnast participates both national and international level competition. All the subjects lived in Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP), Dhaka and their training age were between two to six years. The anthropometric profile was assessed by measuring height, weight, arm length, leg length, shoulder width, hip circumference, and sitting height. The collecting data were analyzed using the standard statistical measure (Such as mean value, Standard Deviation, t value and p value also). Result: There is a considerable anthropometric difference between Bangladeshi and Olympic-level gymnasts and Bangladeshi gymnast because of they have behind the performance than the international level gymnast all over the world. Conclusion: Bangladeshi female elite gymnast have low anthropometric level than world level female gymnast.

Abstract: (Background) In the world of professional sports today, a major challenge is the demanding schedule that athletes face. To perform at their best in professional leagues, athletes must be in top shape every week for the demanding and lengthy games. This necessitates the use of tools and resources by strength and conditioning coaches to optimize individual recovery strategies for athletes. The article discusses the importance of recovery in sports performance and the benefits of implementing personalized recovery strategies for athletes. It provides methods and approaches for developing personalized recovery strategies, including athlete assessment and specific recovery techniques such as sleep, nutrition, hydration, stretching, massage, compression garments, and active recovery. (Purpose)The goal is to optimize an athlete's recovery and overall athletic performance by tailoring recovery strategies to their individual needs.(Methods) The present study employs a variety of research methods, including a review of existing literature, on-field investigations, and mathematical analysis, to investigate the current state of recovery tools and techniques that can assist in developing effective individualized recovery strategies. (Conclusion) This article emphasizes the importance of assessing an athlete's specific recovery needs, selecting appropriate recovery techniques, and monitoring outcomes to develop personalized recovery strategies. Coaches, trainers, and athletes should adopt a combination of approaches, such as the time-based and individualized approaches, to create effective recovery strategies that can be adjusted as needed to ensure peak performance and overall well-being.

The Spread of Street Basketball in Russia

Abstract: The article presents a brief history of the spread of street basketball in Russia. It is shown that the popularity of street basketball is growing every year and unites more and more people in Russia, especially in large cities of the country, such as Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Novosibirsk, Tyumen, etc. The purpose of this study is to briefly study the history of the origin of streetball in Russia, and to show the spread of street basketball in the country. Methods: In my study, I used questionnaires and interviews that took place in an anonymous form among schoolchildren from different cities of Russia. In a total sample of 186 schoolchildren (Moscow: n=73, 17 girls, 53 boys; age 14.8+0.4 years; Rostov-on-Don: n=62, 21 girls, 41 boys; age 14.1+0.3 years and Gorno-Altaisk: n=51, 12 girls, 39 boys; age 14.3+0.2 years) I conducted a survey of schoolchildren, which touched upon the topics of direct participation of schoolchildren in streetball, the interest of schoolchildren in the development of streetball at school, the impact of the game on health, well-being and the level of aggressiveness. Result. The survey showed that schoolchildren in large cities of Russia are more interested in the spread and development of basketball than their peers in regional cities and towns. However, despite this, streetball is becoming more and more popular in the country every year. Conclusion: Thus, streetball has turned from a simple street game into a giant sports industry in Russia. Sports organizations have been established in Russia (the Street Basketball Association and the Russian Basketball Federation), which actively organize annual championships in the country. Moreover, street basketball is now being actively introduced into the system of physical culture of school education in Russia. However, streetball has a different development on the territory of Russia. In large cities, it has received great development. In small towns and villages, streetball is less developed. At the same time, the popularity of street basketball in Russia is growing and is explained by its accessibility to all segments of the population, entertainment and simple rules of the game.
