About This Special Issue
Porous material (such as metal-organic frameworks, covalent organic frameworks, zeolite, silica, porous metal oxide, porous carbons, etc.) with micro-nano size has shown different properties from macro materials in the fields of catalysis, gas separation and biomedicine etc.). Therefore, how to precisely design and regulate porous materials with specific structure, size, morphology and function has attracted wide attention of researchers in recent years. Alternatively, hierarchical combination of porous materials with other functional materials (such as metal nanoparticles, polymers, quantum dots and enzymes, etc.) are a common strategy to construction new functional composites. This has greatly expanded the application of porous materials. Meanwhile, the cognizance of porous composite materials interfaces is a critical design principle underpinning the design of porous composite materials. The primary goal of this special issue is to give readers a deeper understanding of the physical and chemical properties of materials interfaces which will subsequently aid us to decipher the structure-property relationship of these complex systems. We invite contributions that explore the rational design, synthesis and fabrication of porous composite materials with hierarchy across different length scales, with particular interest in the construction of well-defined porous composite materials with desired atomic, mesoscopic and even macroscopic ordering, and the new function and application of the constructed porous composite materials which comes from the structural design.
Types of articles welcomed: Original research articles, review articles, case studies, communication, etc.
Through this special issue, we aim to systematic study of the design principle of porous composite materials by constructing a series of new porous composite materials with hierarchical structure and excellent properties. We welcome researchers from various disciplines to provide interdisciplinary perspectives on Porous Composites at the Interface. Your contributions will play a crucial role in advancing knowledge in this field.

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  1. Porous material
  2. Porous composite materials
  3. Interface engineering
  4. Metal-organic frameworks
  5. Hierarchical structure
