Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies is transforming hospital management systems worldwide, reshaping how healthcare organizations operate and deliver services. Growing patient demand, increasing clinical complexity, and pressure to improve efficiency and quality of care have accelerated the adoption of digital solutions in hospital management. The objective of this study is to analyze the role of digital transformation in improving hospital management systems and overall healthcare performance. A descriptive analytical approach was used to examine the implementation of hospital information systems, electronic health records, enterprise resource planning platforms, and data-driven decision-support tools. The analysis indicates that digital transformation enhances operational efficiency by streamlining administrative processes, improving patient flow management, and optimizing resource allocation. Integrated digital systems support real-time data access, enabling hospital managers to make informed decisions related to staffing, inventory, and service planning. Furthermore, digital tools improve coordination among clinical departments, reduce medical errors, and strengthen patient safety through standardized workflows and automated documentation. Digital transformation also facilitates transparency, performance monitoring, and quality assurance across hospital services. Despite these benefits, challenges such as high implementation costs, interoperability limitations, data security risks, and resistance to organizational change remain significant barriers. In conclusion, digital transformation of hospital management systems is a critical driver of modern healthcare system improvement. Successful adoption requires strong leadership, strategic planning, staff training, and supportive regulatory frameworks. Integrating digital technologies into hospital management can enhance efficiency, quality of care, and sustainability, contributing to resilient and patient-centered healthcare systems.
