01About This Special Issue
Agriculture, forestry and fisheries are key human activities that have sustained ecosystems, livelihoods, economies and the global environment for centuries. However, with increasing human population, these environmental components have undergone a lot of challenges and stress factors that have led to their continued degradation. However, use of science and technology can contribute to enhanced productivity of these resources inspite of the dangers they face. This special issue on agriculture, forestry and fisheries will try to bring out current research approaches, techniques and management strategies that have been employed in both the developed and developing countries to ensure that these activities remain relevant to the survival of mankind and planet earth. Also, current global environmental challenges such as acid rain, pollution, loss of biodiversity, climate change, land use change and economic vagaries will be handled in this issue; especially in as far as these challenges address policy at both national and international levels. Finally, this special issue will give priority to original research papers with an interdisciplinary spice up of reporting complex scientific phenomena for eventual consumption by the general public and the common person at household level.Aims and Scope:
