About This Special Issue
Dentistry and family medicine are from the branches of health with a preventive approach and not only curative, it is important to know that it has developed in the last years with respect to it, since family medicine in some countries has become The first contact for patients and are responsible for referral to other specialties; Therefore they have an important role in preventing some diseases and only refer when necessary. As for dentistry, its preventive role has been relegated, new generations of dentists have focused on the healing part, when the true benefit to patients starts from the preventive part.
