About This Special Issue
PCI with stent implantation have become a standard treatment for coronary artery disease. However, since its introduction 40 years ago, the technique and application have evolved. The focus of this special issues is to give opportunity to the pioneers of the field of Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) to narrate their own story from a personal development (handicraft) to worldwide applied procedure. The aim is to provide younger cardiologist with the true stories from each of the editor, masters in their own field, about history, application and development.
