About This Special Issue
Assuming that work is essential in life and is related to social forms of organization - having its rationality characterized by the subjective dimension; From an organizational and academic point of view, studies that explore the subjective dimension in organizations may contribute to the reflection on management practices that aim to make people more committed in the workplace. Considering also the transformations that the world of work has been undergoing, such as the changes in labor relations, the unbridled pursuit of profit, the speed and agility due to technology, the context in which the working class finds itself (exposed salary levels and unhealthy living conditions, strenuous journeys and, consequently, multiple modes of illness) deepen research into the possibility of organizations becoming “healthy” by guiding people to perform their tasks beyond the mere function of producing wealth It is of utmost importance. In this study proposal, researchers may submit research related to the dimensions of well-being, meanings and meanings of work, spirituality and / or happiness at work; work and identity; ways of working and their consequences on being and living; work and relationships; new psychological contracts; self-management and work-related dilemmas.
