About This Special Issue
Sexual abuse or molestation is forceful, unwanted/undesired sexual act by one person upon another without consent. It can happen to any gender and at any age. The assaulter is termed as sexual abuser or molester and the counter part is called as victim. If the victim is below the age of consent, it is referred to as child sexual abuse. Though many researches have been done to understand its causes, prevalence and treatment, the knowledge about sexual abuse is still not adequate to prevent it or offer evidence based treatment to victims or offenders, thus requires more in depth research in this area. This special issue is to improve the dissemination of advanced research in the area of sexual abuse that would enhance our current understanding about sexual abuse.
