About This Special Issue
The application field of conductive textiles is growing every day. It can be used as protective clothing from incendiary electric discharges or can be employed as shielding materials from electromagnetic interference. Also conductive yarns and textiles are widely used in smart textiles, especially where different sensors are present.

There are many ways to manufacture conductive textiles – by inserting conductive additives or yarns, or by using different conductive coatings. The wide range of conductive additives used in textiles allows widening the application fields of such textiles.

The special issue Conductive textiles – from protective till smart textiles will cover novel and original investigations and evaluations of special properties of designed protective and smart textiles, as well as innovative manufacturing processes of conductive yarns and textiles.

The special issue will focus to discuss and disclose the novel and advanced investigations and to collect all current original papers in one issue.
