About This Special Issue
Innovation is a vital issue in design studies, a great number of literatures approach to design creativity from the perspectives of cognitive and social. Additionally, numerous kinds of creative methods and tools for design thinking are considered and built. These methods and tools for enhancing design creativity are related with two kinds of aspects, one is the process of design and the other is the outcome of design. In addition, architecture design is evolving. Moving from traditional categories to predominantly multidisciplinary projects dealing with service design, social systems, and complexity at a large scale, architecture design is moving away from its product-focused origins.
To deal with these changes in architecture, this special issue ‘Innovation in Architecture Design’ aims to call for papers which can contribute to promote innovation in architecture design. These papers can focus on but not limited to architecture design theory, architecture design method, architecture design application, architecture design case study, architecture arts and culture, relation between architecture and other sciences.
It might not be an architect who saves the world, but several of them are bound to be in a multidisciplinary team that does. Architecture design creativity research that explores the way in which individuals channel their creativity may turn out to be more impactful than we ever thought.

Aims and Scope:

  1. Innovation
  2. Design creativity
  3. Architecture design
  4. Design theory
  5. Design method
  6. Design Application

Abstract: We are entering a new area of information science that we calling the Internet of Things (IoT). It connects machine with machine, machine with infrastructure and machine with environment, the Internet of everything. More generally, we see IoT as massive amounts of connected concepts that encompass every aspect of our lives. Meanwhile, architects of... Show More
